Salty vegan scone

Ingredients

  • 40 gr vegan butter
  • 225 gr flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 12 sliced olives
  • 2 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 110 ml plant milk

Instructions

Prevent the screen from locking

1. Add vegan butter to a bowl of flour and baking powder. 2. Mix the ingredients well with your hands until there are no more clumps of butter and the mix has a grainy texture. 3. Add sliced olives, nutritional yeast, salt and plant milk and mix it will with a spoon or fork until a unified dough. 4. If the mix is too wet, add a bit of flour. If too dry, add a bit more milk. 5. Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees C. 6. Make little balls out of the dough and line them up onto a tray with baking paper. 7. Press the balls a bit flat with hand or fork and brush them with some milk with a cooking brush. 8. bake the scones for 12 minutes in the oven or until light brown on top. 9. Let them cool a bit and serve them with some (homemade) tapenade or vegan salami. Enjoy!
